The AIA team embarked on their journey to the much-anticipated return of Air Cargo Europe, Monday 8th May. Joining at Messe Munchen, the team put the finishing touches to the stand, ready for a jammed pack week. Followed by a relaxed local dinner, where the team planned the next few days.
A bright and early start to the first day of the show, the team got their rocket fuel at breakfast to give them a kickstart to the long day ahead!
The morning of the show consisted of several important meetings with China Southern and Hainan Airlines, just to name a few. As well as sharing the stand with one of our partner airlines, EL AL.
Throughout the first day, we have been aware of how male-dominated the aviation industry is, which makes us even prouder to be a fully inclusive company with 80% of our teams being formed by women.
“Women form 80% of our AIA Cargo teams and we are very proud of it as a company. Professionalism and efficiency are key to delivering our AIA prestigious services and results in the industry and that’s mainly thanks to our women team” – Jaime Salguero, AIA Cargo, CCO.
The afternoon carried on the success of the morning with more meetings, including SAS with Ilka Turku and Nicklas Krandof, discussing our strong relationship, current, previous and future successes. Late afternoon, our CEO Mark Andrew and CCO Jaime Salguero carried out a meeting with United Cargo as well as our VP of Commercial and Network speaking with members of Air Baltic.
After a successful first day, the team looks forward to what the next few days will hold. If you’re at Air Cargo Europe, make sure to pop by our stand, Hall B1, Stand 338.
